I knew something happened in 2002 with some journalist in Pakistan, but that "something" could be so atrocious I could never imagine (no one could)!!! Im recenly educated about the whole ordeal of Mr Pearl...and its disturbing me so much =( evrything is just revolving in my head...and the worst part is ...I saw the obnoxious video!!! T_T
I shouldn't have, I didn't wanted to.... but after knowing about it the way he was captured n kidnapped, and then killed I couldnt stop myself, it may sound offending but I was incabale to believe what i read...i just could'nt believe! i saw it not for some creepy entertainment..but to believe wat i read...and I regret!! I should'nt have..
This Man-Daniel Pearl was an American Journalist staying in Mumbai, who went to Pakistan and was captured by a militant group calling itself The National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty.(NMRPS)...this group had a range of demands, including the freeing of all Pakistani terror detainees, and the release of a halted U.S. shipment of F-16 fighter jets to the Pakistani government.
The message read:
"We give you one more day if America will not meet our demands we will kill Daniel. Then this cycle will continue and no American journalist could enter Pakistan."
Photos of Pearl handcuffed with a gun at his head and holding up a newspaper were attached. There was no response to pleas from Pearl's editor, nor from his wife Mariane.
Nine days later, Pearl was beheaded. His body was found cut into ten pieces and buried in a shallow grave in the outskirts of Karachi. When the police found his remains, Abdul Sattar Edhi (Humanitarian) arrived promptly on the scene, personally collected all 10 body parts, and took them to the morgue. Pearl's body was returned to the United States and was cremated.
later a videotape titled The Slaughter of the Spy-Journalist, the Jew Daniel Pearl, was released. The video shows Pearl's mutilated body and lasts three minutes and 36 seconds. In the video, Pearl's body is shown naked from the waist up with someone slitting his throat. A man then decapitates(beheaded) Pearl....A few more images are shown near the image of Pearl's head. The last 90 seconds of the video show the list of demands scrolling, superimposed on an image of Pearl's severed head being held by the hair!!!
I regret I saw it...I shouldn't have ....I paused numerous times ...but the thought that how can someone be so gruesome & cruel to do that...thats not possible...i kept shaking for few hrs...it should be banned...nobody should watch it...
I can understand a normal person involving in to criminal activities as a result of some past sufferings...but turning in to Monster not possible, there has to be some major mental sickness motivating them....I donno how this would end.. if there is any...I can only pray for "Daniel Pearl & his Family" and for all those who suffered this trauma...
